That can translate into a savings of about one ton of air conditioning for every 100 square feet of glass exposed to sunlight. And you get to keep your view.
3M™ sun control films block out 99% of UV light, thus protecting you from the sun's harmful rays and significantly reducing fabric and furniture fade. In addition, these window films reduce glare to improve your indoor visibility, especially with respect to computer monitors and televisions.

3M™ Prestige Series
3M™ Prestige Window Films are spectrally selective, even the lightest Prestige films have surprising heat rejection with minimal change to the appearance of the glass. Unlike other films that can only achieve similar performance during the cool times of sunrise and sunset, these films are unsurpassed throughout the day and especially during the hottest times when you need the help most. Prestige Films are designed to block 97% of the sun’s infrared light, allowing people in sunny spaces to feel comfortable. These films are designed to maintain existing glass appearance and light levels. Prestige Films use no metals and are therefore not susceptible to corrosion and do not interfere with mobile phone reception.
3M™ Ceramic Series
3M™ Ceramic Films are also spectrally selective; they reject up to 80% of the sun’s infrared light. These films are made of ceramics so fine they are not only invisible to the naked eye, they are imperceptible with an ordinary microscope. The films finish well with a warm tone and amazing clarity preserving the view and enhancing the beauty of any room, at a lower price point than Prestige. Ceramic films offer excellent fade protection, especially in environments where night views are inconsequential.
3M™ NIGHTVISION™ SERIES
3M™’s special coatings won’t create a mirror effect at night- so city lights still sparkle. These films are a brilliant alternative to heavy and obstructive window coverings. Offering a wide range of light transmission, Night Vision films are a good choice for applications dealing with both glare and heat problems.
3M™ Traditional Series
The Traditional Series includes silver reflective films with excellent solar protection, rejecting up to 79% of all solar energy, helping to provide energy savings and improved comfort. This series includes Classic Silver and Affinity commercial grade films. The darker tint helps reduce glare and eye discomfort and increased reflection helps enhance daytime privacy and can create a more uniform exterior appearance. The Neutral Series was originally introduced in the 1980’s, these films still offer good heat and light control. Once used in commercial and residential environments; in most instances they have now been replaced by Night Vision Films.
3M™ EXTERIOR FILMS
This series includes Exterior Prestige, specifically engineered for maximum exterior longevity, this film is designed to go on the outside of a building in situations where the inside of the glass is inaccessible. The series also includes Exterior Traditional films.
