325 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106
Film Used: 3M™ Ceramic 30
Duration: Spring 2016
Contracted with: Hunter Roberts Group
Problems: Heat, Glare, Aesthetics & Modernization
Built in 1960, Sun-Lite was approached by the new building owners to be part of this 13 story office building façade improvements including replacing the dark, mismatched window film. The primary concern was upgrading the buildings appearance but the building was composed of single pane glass and could not afford to lose the solar control provided by window film.
Working with BLT Architects, Hunter Robert Group, Stuart Dean and MRP Realty, the building owner’s representative, Sun-Lite proposed new 3M™ technology to provide more visible light transmission than the existing film, while maintaining glare and solar control. As part of a much larger façade improvement project which included recaulking and refinishing window frames and spandrel glass by others, the Hunter Robert Group contracted with Sun-Lite Corporation to remove existing film and install 3M™ Window Film.
